Students from the Anna University Regional Center won first place in the mobile application design competition recently organized jointly by ISRO, NASA and the European Space Agency.
The team, consisting of Dominic and Guru Prasad, had designed the mobile application on virtual reality and augmented reality platforms to easily understand the operation of NASA satellites and the data obtained from these satellites.
While the duo showcased their app’s performance in the competition held recently in online mode, it was selected as the best mobile app in the competition at the national level. Mr. Dominic and Mr. Guru Prasad have been selected for the upcoming international competition.
Another team representing the AU regional center pocketed the 8 e square.
When the winners met District Collector V. Vishnu on Monday evening and demonstrated the mobile application developed by them, the collector, who worked as a risk analyst in the United States before clearing utilities, congratulated the winners and assured them of all help in winning the international round as well.
Dean, AU Regional Center Shenbaga Vinayagamurthy, District Revenue Officer (Disciplinary Proceedings) Suganya, National Center of Computing Officers Devarajan and Nainar were present.
