The Timberland Regional Library mobile app allows people on the go to access their favorite books and resources from anywhere.
Available on Android and iOS, the Timberland Regional Library (TRL) mobile app offers a variety of features, including granting patrons access to their online library cards and accounts.
“Anyone can browse or search book titles and other materials once they download the app, even without an account,” said Kendra Jones, assistant director of the Timberland Regional Library.
Once customers log into their account, they have full access to view borrowed materials, place holds on items for pickup and use links to a range of electronic resources, Jones said.
“It is extremely important to us to provide our patrons with access to materials and services regardless of their location or ability to visit our libraries in person,” Jones said. “Updating our mobile app has been an effective way to achieve this goal.”

If visiting one of the TRL libraries, patrons can use the scan feature that opens when they log into the app to scan their library card barcode directly from their phone during checkout. self service.
Using the scan feature accessible on the search function, customers can scan any book’s barcode or ISBN (International Standard Book Number) to see if it is available in the catalog TRL.
“It’s simple and convenient to search our collection from almost anywhere using the TRL mobile app,” Jones said. “It’s also a great way to check for up-to-date information on hours and closings.”
The in-app GPS can be used to find nearby TRL locations and access the “Plan Your Visit” page on TRL.org, where all current locations, times and directions are listed.
Users can customize their layout preferences and language, and the app now includes a section listing all the mobile apps available to anyone with a TRL library card.
