RI announces update to 401Health mobile app, digital vaccine records included

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – Governor McKee and the RI Department of Health have announced the next phase of the Crush COVID RI mobile app, 401Health Mobile.

This update will allow Rhode Islanders to digitally access all immunization records.

Rhode Island now joins other countries, states, and pharmacies that use SMART Health secure immunization technology for record standardization.

Connecticut and Massachusetts will partner with Rhode Island as they begin implementing this program in the coming weeks.

“Rhode Island has administered nearly 2 million doses of COVID vaccine and nearly 300,000 booster doses, and our neighbors deserve a convenient, secure and efficient way to access and keep their immunization records,” said the governor McKee. “I downloaded my vaccination card to my phone and it was very simple. If you have not yet been vaccinated, it is not too late. If you haven’t yet, give yourself a boost.

“We want to make it as easy and convenient as possible for you to securely access your immunization information,” said Rhode Island Department of Health Director Nicole Alexander-Scott, MD, MPH. “This new app is a great way for others to check that you’ve received the essential protection that comes with a primary COVID-19 vaccine series and booster dose. “

The free Rhode Island app is now available through the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store in English and Spanish.
